The Tar Heel Star News is the official publication of the Grand Chapter of North Carolina, Order of the Eastern Star.  Our purpose is to  keep members informed of pertinent Grand Chapter information and news and to give every subordinate chapter a forum for publishing its news, views and chuckles.  We urge every Chapter to take advantage of this opportunity to have your say and to bring attention to the good work being done in your Chapter and highlight your members. 

The major, underlying  purpose of The Tar Heel Star News is to keep our members connected, while reaching out to others and allowing them to see what we are doing  in North Carolina.  Many Grand Representatives provide gift subscriptions for their counterparts who often continue their subscriptions long after their commissions have expired.
